Ray was referred to The Restart Scheme (delivered by Seetec Pluss on behalf of G4S) by his work coach at the Job Centre.
Although he was there looking for work, he really wanted to start his own business and after meeting the team at the Ellesmere Port office, he realised his dream could become reality.
Ray is a qualified chef and during the Covid 19 lockdown he used much of his time studying and gaining certificates in Nutrition and Diet.
He had all the ideas for his new business, but needed some support and guidance in putting them into practice.
Working with his coaches, Ray and Lynn, it wasn’t long before Ray’s dream started to become a reality and Healthy New You was born.
Ray’s self-employment coach, Anthony, helped with things like data protection and applications for funding. Ray’s website was funded with money sourced from Cheshire Chamber of Commerce.
“Ray was new to the area and he was unsure how best to tackle the world of self employment,” Anthony says, “But with the help of Seetec Pluss, and The Restart Scheme, he was armed with the tools, knowledge and confidence to take the plunge.”
