“The Big Help Out” is a day of volunteering, on the Bank Holiday Monday following the Coronation of King Charles III. We’ve been to meet Jack, a Scout Leader, to find out how volunteering can play a big part in securing your ideal job.
Dozens of charities will be taking part in The Big Help Out, using the day to encourage people to ‘Lend a Hand; make a change.’
The initiative has been organised by Scouts and the Royal Voluntary Service. The aim is to inspire people to try volunteering for the first time.
Volunteering can be a great way to add value to your CV and impress potential employers, as we’ve been hearing from Jack.
Jack joined the Scouts when he was a child – and never left! Now he’s a very proud Scout Leader in Stockport.
